Maintenance Engineer

What will you do?

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will ensure that our production facilities and utilities continue to function optimally. You will perform maintenance work in the mechanical, electrical and control fields and play a crucial role in troubleshooting and improving our processes.

You will work with Operators, Team Leaders and Maintenance Planners to provide technical information and implement improvements within the organization.

Your responsibilities:

  • Performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on a wide range of machines and installations within the Processing and Filling & Packaging department, with specific attention to pumps and process valves in processing, and blow molding machines, filling machines, and box packers in filling and packaging. This is done on the basis of standardized checklists and with the aid of modern tools and documentation systems.
  • Inspecting and maintaining various process equipment, as well as blow molding machines, filling and packaging machines, whereby wear and tear and possible defects are detected and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Resolving identified defects in various process equipment, as well as in blow molding machines, filling and packaging machines; in the event of more significant issues, you will consult with the planner regarding the best next steps and possible replacement or overhaul.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance by analyzing trends in malfunctions and proposing improvements to increase the reliability and service life of the installations.
  • Investigate opportunities for technical improvements and modifications to machinery and equipment to increase efficiency and reliability.
  • Analyzing malfunctions and performing corrective maintenance to prevent problems from recurring
  • Ensuring that work is correctly recorded in the technical maintenance system (Ultimo).
  • Communicate with Operators, Team Leaders and Maintenance Planners on technical issues.
  • Preparation and compliance with applicable regulations and standards such as HACCP, BRC, GMP, IFS and Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Occasionally assist with work of All-round Troubleshooting Engineers.


What are you bringing?

  • Technical training at MBO level 3 or 4, broad technical knowledge, and experience with a variety of techniques.
  • Knowledge of Dutch, German and English language in word and writing.
  • Knowledge of applicable rules and standards (housekeeping, HACCP, BRC, GMP, IFS, and occupational health and safety). At least 3 years of experience in a technical department position.
  • Strong in oral expression skills
  • Good at analyzing problems and think solution-oriented.
  • Stress resistant and have perseverance.
  • Good at collaboration and results-oriented work.
  • Careful and accurate.
