As one of the largest producers of daily fresh dairy in the Netherlands, Farm Dairy makes over 250 million liters of delicious custard, milk and yogurt every year. We can be found in every supermarket, under retailers' own brands, and therefore in almost every refrigerator in the Netherlands. And not just with dairy, also with plantbased alternatives. Because sustainability is our top priority, just like quality.
The road to more sustainable production has many steps, from saving energy to more sustainable raw materials and packaging. But, of course, also using less water.
And water is vital to us: after all, we need to clean a lot to keep making good quality products .
Nevertheless, we want to reduce our water consumption by recovering more water. We already have ideas, but to make choices we will first have to test and experiment. And that is where we are looking for you. If you want to contribute to that, then this internship is for you.
You will do this together with our process technologists, operations and the quality and technology department at Farm Dairy and various technology providers. What is the best way to turn our wastewater back into clean drinking water, cost-effective, low-maintenance and reliable?
