Arend Bouwer, CEO of Farm Dairy, was surprised with the Golden Bean Award during the Eiwitcongres 2026.

The award, presented by Leo Koning from The Protein Community, recognizes his personal drive and leadership in advancing the protein transition. Together with his team, Bouwer has transformed Farm Dairy into a large private-label dairy company, combining dairy expertise with an innovative strategy that includes a dedicated plant-based production facility.

Under his motto โ€œTogether we make the protein transition a success,โ€ the company has introduced several new products to the Dutch market, including plant-based dairy products and balanced/hybrid milk. As the son of a cattle and arable farmer, Bouwer brings a unique perspective to the protein transition, with all the pieces of the โ€œhybridโ€ puzzle falling into place.
